NEETI MOHAN’S WEDDING: A SHOWCASE OF GRANDEUR, STYLE AND LOVE

On 15th February, 2019, Bollywood ace singer, Neeti Mohan tied knot with her boy friend Nihar Pandya, an actor whose debut movie Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi was released a short while ago. When two people are in love with each other, the glow of that love and happiness is so obviously written on their faces.

What could be the happier moment than being together forever? This is what the couple decided upon. The day after the world’s celebrations of love were over (14th February, being Valentine’s Day), things began in the most beautiful manner in Hyderabad at the marvelous Falaknuma Palace. Both having a great persona, it is not hard to imagine their fabulous looks on their wedding. In fact everything about them reflected joy and liveliness. The laughter was vibrant, their iridescent smiles infectious and their attires breathtaking.

Neeti Mohan who has always expressed her immense love for her family had a great pre-wedding photo session with her three sisters. They all were looking gorgeous in their designer pastel shades lehengas. Neeti chose to carry a contemporary swag with lehenga and sneakers which in fact added an oomph factor to her style. Though it must be admitted here that this is not a new trend as Deepika Padukone portrayed the same very cool look at her reception when she exchanged her stilettos with a  a pair of white sneakers.

Neeti wore a stunning blue sequined lehenga and choli for her pre-wedding shoot. Those were the fun filled moments for the sisters whose strong bond could be felt in these mesmerising pictures. The sisters held the placards written,” sisters before misters”. There was nothing traditional about this shoot. In fact its freshness and novelty of idea stole everyone’s heart. It also reminded one of the need to have strong camaraderie with one’s siblings.

For her engagement cum Sangeet ceremony, Neeti and Nihar wore colour coordinated attires. Their picture which has several small lights symbolising stars around them has become the favourite on instagram.

On her wedding day, Neeti chose to wear a rosy-pink lehenga which was not only exquisite in appearance but also exhibited delicate work with fine finish. She accessorised the lehenga with heavy jewellery which included an alluring Maang Tika. Here too the couple had colour coordinated which accentuated the romance and reflected on their deep understanding and completely in sync with each other. Pink is the hue of love and love could be felt in the air, enlivening each and every second of the traditional wedding ceremony.

Many people pointed out that Neeti’s Lehenga bore resemblance with Anushka Sharma’s wedding Lehenga designed by Sabyasachi. The lehenga had the same shade as well as almost similar floral motifs. Though it was not from Sabyasachi collection but there is no denying the fact that Neeti looked her best in this breathtaking attire. Her lehenga made her complexion glow and she looked the most beautiful avatar of herself in the blush-pink lehenga. Her subtle make up brought out her natural beauty in the most complimentary manner.

ISHA AMBANI’S POSH AND ROYAL WEDDING

When it comes to any event hosted by the Ambanis’, it is expected to be synonymous with grandeur and luxury. If it is the marriage of the Reliance Chairperson, Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s daughter, Isha Ambani, it has to be the grandest and richest of affairs. Such weddings are epitome of everything classy and stylish and of course, expensive. It is not the extravaganza that makes it special.

It is also the humility, sticking to one’s roots and honouring one’s traditions that add to its charm. There is no denying the fact that the invitees are also those who are the masters of their worlds and this wedding also witnessed many of the prolific personalities at Antilia. The guest list included former President of India Pranab Mukherjee, former US First Lady Hillary Clinton, Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas, the Bachchan family and the who's who of the worlds of business, showbiz and politics.

Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal tied the knot on December 12 at Antilia in Mumbai. Isha married Piramal Group's Ajay Piramal and Swati Piramal's son, Anand. The pre-wedding ceremomies began from December 8th when the couple hosted their grand pre-wedding event in Udaipur. What could be more happiness than witnessing live performance of American pop sensation Beyonce? No need to say that the party held everyone’s attention and was immensely enjopyed by the guests.

For the wedding ceremony Isha and Anand looked quite the picture-perfect, love-struck newlyweds. Not only their ensembles radiated class and sophistication but they also spoke of the couple’s impeccable choice. Isha’s lehenga created that stunning, innocent look of a young bride in off-white colour adorned with sea-green embellishments. Her heavy choker, an exquisitely designed nose ring, a beautiful maang tika and bangles complimented the look and made her look all the more endearing.  Her poise reflected in the way she carried herself elegantly. Her floral embroidered dupatta looked sensational. There was minimal make-up. Her low bun with a center parting gave an impression of gorgeousness unmatched.

Her natural looking strong brows, smokey eyes, red lips, red bindi and radiant smile said it all. The couple had a pleasent aura which made them a perfect match. This girl with her natural glam looked dazzling with the off-white colour making her face glow with happiness. The groom colour coordinated with the bride’s attire and looked no less dashing in off-white Sherwani.

It was an event which emanated bon-homie and a spirit of brotherhood. The guests in their most beautiful attires looked ravishing, especially the Bollywood celebrities, like Aishwarya Rai who wore a vibrant red saree in a traditional style and looked majestic. Abhishek Bachchan’s black bandhgala suit looked equally elegant. Alia Bhatt stole the show with her white lehenga adorned with blue Chikankari work. Karan Johar’s white sherwani with sea-green embroidery had a soothing effect. It was Kiara Advani’s stunning looks in baby pink lehenga that mesmerised everyone. The family portrait that would leave anyone breathless was Amitabh Bachchan with his wife Jaya Bachchan, their daughter Shweta and granddaughter Navya Naveli, dressed to kill. Their apparels along with their jewellery left the impression of a regal affair.

LOOK YOUR BEST WHEN YOU SHOP ONLINE FOR MEN’S BLAZERS

A plain jacket not forming part of a suit but considered appropriate for formal wear is called a blazer. As Wikipedia defines it, a Blazer is a type of jacket resembling a suit jacket, but cut more casually. It is generally distinguished from a sport coat as a more formal garment and tailored from solid colour fabrics.

Blazers often have naval-style metal buttons to reflect their origins as jackets worn by boating club members. Blazers are worn with a wide variety of other clothes, ranging from a dress shirt and necktie to an open-necked polo shirt, or even just a plain T-shirt. They are seen with trousers of all colours and fabrics, from the classic white cotton or linen, to grey flannel, to brown or beige chinos, and also jeans.

The sartorial term blazer originated with the red "blazers" of the Lady Margaret Boat Club (1825), the rowing club of St. John's College, Cambridge. In the traditional sense, these blazers are single-breasted, and often of bright colours or with piping. The short double-breasted jacket was originally the reefer jacket of naval origin and it is descendants of this which are now commonly described by the term blazer. Originally with black horn buttons, these jackets evolved to the modern dark blazer, now single as well as double breasted, and with metallic buttons.

Modern times have witnessed extensive use of blazers in all colours and fabric for men. In fact this outfit has found place in casual as well as formal men’s wear. It defines style and grace without flamboyance and it can be worn for any occasion, to suit any mood. It would not be wrong to say that celebrities and models all around the world have contributed immensely in increasing the popularity of these blazers which in fact are the first choice of a man going to office or a man going for a party. The smart, stylish and modern looks lent by these blazers are unmatched.

Shopping for the trendy and formal blazers have become quite an easy task as now they are available in array of colours, cut and designs at online stores. Online shopping has become a rage in recent past because of convenience and comfort. Though it is important to remember that it becomes consumers’ responsibility to shop smartly which means that they have to be alert and cautious in choosing their online store. It is important to realise that all that glitters is not gold, so doing thorough research about the website is a must. MY WEDDING DAY

OMG! I still cannot believe the day has arrived, MY WEDDING DAY, I am going to be bride in few hours. But mini me wants to confess, I always wanted to be one, you know right, girls are always fascinated with beautiful Indian bridal wears, glossy makeup, shining jewelry and everything else that can make them look even more gorgeous.

Well, it took me months to choose my wedding lehenga and matching jewelry, how can I have missed the chance to look the prettiest. I always had a blurry imagination of how would I look as a bride, but I must say it was a very difficult choice, choosing most beautiful amongst all beautiful wedding lehenga designs.

Everyone had a different thought for my outfit. My mother wanted to see me in some old traditional red outfit, my sister wanted something rocking & different, my groom wanted to match our outfits and my father wanted to see me in the outfit which I loved. After hours of debate, with Dad’s support we decided it’s going to my decision.

And then the hassles started, I’ve not skipped even a single shop in the market to find out my dream lehenga. And after ‘n’ number of hunts, I finally found it. An ethereal perky pink designer lehenga detailed in laces, sequins, zari and embroidery, so eyeful one. When I saw it, I decided I’m not going to wear anything else than this. And to my surprise & shock, mommy and sister also loved it. Still there was so much to do, grabbing matching bangles, earrings, necklace and other accessories. I chose golden accessories for me.

Wait, someone’s calling for me, oh it’s mommy. I have to get ready for the most awaited evening. I cannot wait to see myself dressed up in this elegant lehenga. Aren’t I getting too excited? Look, someone is here to do my makeup, I have already instructed her to keep it subtle and elegant. I have worn the matching sparkling golden jewelries, nose ring, bangles, necklace, maang tika, haath paan and earrings. What do you think, how am I looking? Here, with everyone’s expression I feel I am looking pretty great.

So, the time has come to go outside and amaze everyone out there. Everyone is complimenting me a lot, I guess this pink bridal lehenga has spelled its magic on me. I’m glad that I chose this for my wedding day. I think you should also go for something different, beautiful and simple if you have already planned your wedding day.

Color twinning at my Daughter’s wedding

Oh my god! It is wedding day; few hours are left we have to leave for the venue. No one is ready, still so many preparations are needed to be done. Being a mother of a daughter who is getting married, leads to busy you. I have to get ready for the evening and I have to check if my princess is ready.

At the time of your child’s wedding there are so many arrangements that are required to be made, that you don’t get time for yourself to get ready for your child’s special day. And then the other thing you have to make sure that the outfit you pick does not look too gaudy as per your age.

Leaving in U.S., it has always been a tougher choice to fetch Indian ethnic wear. And selecting an Indian clothes online shopping site can buy you some risks as some sites do not meet the quality standards as per the expectations. But finally, my daughter found one and ordered few fancy sarees for me for the wedding.

She wanted me to match the clothes of our color on each and every occasion. That is why, for the Haldi ceremony she ordered a yellow saree for me. I always prefer light-weight sarees as with passing age it is getting difficult for me to tackle. So, for Haldi ceremony I wore this yellow Bhagalpuri silk saree handcrafted with thread.

For Mehendi ceremony, we twinned in henna green color. I wore this art silk saree beautifully embroidered and embellished with thread and sequins. Everyone loved this saree as the color and fabric quality were exemplary.

After that for the sangeet ceremony, she chose orange attires for both of us. For me she picked up an orange kanjeevaram silk saree gracefully handwoven. The color was so radiant and graceful.

And today my daughter wants me to wear a red saree as she is also wearing red lehenga for the wedding. I am going to wear this bright banarasi silk saree precisely handcrafted with thread. This will perfectly go with golden jewelries and subtle makeup. Indian silk sarees can accentuate your looks into multiple times. This will perfectly suit the occasion and this is diaphanous & light-weight saree so it will be easier for me to get grips with the work.

So, I am all set for today’s evening. I hope my daughter will love it. I want to make this day a special one from my end. You can also go for Indian silk sarees as they create perfect wedding saree collection with the lavish look and sheer quality.
